Welcome to St. Scholastica Academy! At SSA, we’re not just taught the basic elements that we need to graduate but instead we’re also taught values that we may take with us throughout life. Whether you agree with it or not, these Five Benedictine Tenets which may remind you of the values that our parents instilled in us and that SSA emphasizes are daily things we can learn from. “Importance of Community, Love of learning, Stewardship of Gifts, Sense of Balance, and Respect for the Individual.”
Let’s take a closer look at the students. It’s obvious to anyone that we’re a melting pot. The interesting thing that stands out is you will never see the same race just with each other. You may see an Assyrian, Eritrean, Muslim, African-American, or Latino student all together at the lunch table. We’re just a melting pot. We respect each other’s opinions and accept each other’s differences. At the end of the day, we leave SSA as a different person. We step outside our comfort zone and into the reality “zone”.
